About Us

Who am I?

Hey there, I am TeflonGr, a guy from Spain born in 2002 and the creator of the Teflon's Testbench YouTube channel and this website. I have been really passionate about technology, computers and video games since I was a kid. From there, I have played around with thousands of parts building computers for fun and have helped everyone I could with tech along the way.

My main interests about tech is knowing how everything works, as that is what tickles my curiosity the most and why I love to research, configure and benchmark every piece of tech I can. The reason why maintain this YouTube channel and website is to test and learn the differences between parts more in depth while also giving and presenting that information to anyone that might be interested in it. My goal is to continue doing this, including more resources, adding more information to help everyone to learn more about tech.

Teflon's Testbench, my YouTube channel:

One day I decided to update some tests from a computer I build with second hand parts and I was selling, and uploading them to YouTube was the easiest way to share them. To my surprise they started getting views and I decided to focus on testing and benchmarking different parts.

Since then, I've done thousands of benchmarks, and my focus has always been on improving them adding more data, better editing, trying different approaches... My plan is to continue making them better so that everyone can learn how different parts work and how they compare against each other in a clear, trustworthy and useful way. I would also love to make newer types of videos, for example explaining technologies, interesting pieces of hardware, more resources to help people learn and troubleshoot tech...
The reason I want and I'm doing all this despite my small channel and reach is not only because I want to make useful things for the community, but also because this all serves me to learn further and to have useful resources at hand. The website for example serves the same purpose.

The Goal of this Website:

This website was created as a supporting medium to the YouTube channel as another way to present information and as a database with tech data from the channel and other sources. The idea is to make it a resource with everything you would need in the tech space, from data and benchmarks about hardware to a source of useful links and resources across the internet.
The website has been built following these concepts:

  • Make it easy to browse. No weird names in the links, and all are grouped in a logical way (web/gpus/rtx3050) so you can access them directly externally.
  • Make it lightweight. All the processing is done server side, minimal amount of scripts present in the site and working on reduce them even more.
  • Focus on information. I want to share information clearly, so it is useful and understandable, not clickbait or obfuscated information.
  • Make it simple. I want a place where I can look for information when I need it, not a heavy site with super cool animations, and heavy on resources.
  • No tracking. There are no trackers or external dependencies tracking you (if I missed any of them let me know). All the website has been written by me, the external sources I use are hosted locally and the only information I store are the number of times each website is loaded and the IP requesting it. Both are done by PHP and are not linked together so I can't know the requests each IP is doing.
  • No invasive advertising. If there are ever any advertisements on this page they will be manually moderated and added by me as clickable images, no popups, no items covering the content

To achieve all this I will be building the website little by little, adding more functionality and sections with time. For now, I have plans to make new databases with video games and CPUs information and to expand the ones already present. That would mean having a lot more information but also being able to combine that data to add more value to it. Another thing that may come is a section where I write about tech stuff and make tutorials and articles about interesting pieces of tech. For example, one article could be about how to make your own VPNs and their uses, another about ReBAR and what is it abotu exactly and a list of games and cards that support it and stuff like that.

Donate & Support Me:

If you want to donate and support my work you can use this PayPal link. Another option is to use YouTube's options like for example super thanks. It would really help cover the expenses of testing hardware and would help me get new stuff to test and play around.
If you don't want or can't donate but still want to support me I would be grateful if you could share my work and leave nice and supportive comments to help me improve it and make it better for everyone.
